Launching in Amed, Bali

Never dive
alone.

You can't dive without a buddy โ€” and when you're travelling solo, finding one is the hard part. SamaDive shows you the divers and freedivers around you: see who's in the water this week, join a dive plan, chat, and buddy up.

How it works

Three things. That's it.

No swiping, no algorithms, no weirdness. SamaDive is a friendly noticeboard for the dive town you're standing in.

The Board

See who's around and diving this week โ€” discipline, cert level, dive count, how long they're staying. Real divers, right where you are.

Dive plans

"Jemeluk Wall, Thursday 8am, 2 spots." Join a plan or post your own โ€” no awkward cold intros, everyone's there for the same reason.

Chat & buddy up

Sort the details, meet at the dive centre, do your buddy check. Go dive. Then vouch for a good buddy so the next diver knows too.

Scuba & freedive

Both worlds. Kept separate.

Amed is a scuba town and a freediving town. SamaDive knows the difference โ€” open the app and you see your people first, one tap to see everyone.

SCUBA

Tanks, wrecks & walls

OW to instructor. Find buddies for the Liberty wreck, Jemeluk wall, or a lazy shore dive โ€” matched to your level.

FREEDIVE

One breath, never alone

Depth training needs a buddy โ€” it's a safety rule, not a nicety. Find someone to one-up-one-down with at Jemeluk bay.

For dive centres

Solo divers walk in. Buddied-up divers book.

SamaDive isn't here to send divers around you โ€” it sends them to you. Free listing, forever.

Travellers who need gear rent it from you

Show up as a centre that rents kit โ€” arriving divers without gear get pointed straight to your door.

Your centre is the meeting point

Buddies meet at your shop to gear up, grab tanks, and book a guide โ€” you're the anchor, not the afterthought.

Free listing, opt-in WhatsApp

Divers message you to book directly. List free โ€” we'll even send stickers for your window.

List your dive centre โ€” free
"List free. We send you travellers who need gear, guides and courses โ€” and buddies who become customers."

samaยทsama
Why "Sama"?

Together, in the language of the ocean.

"Sama" means together in Indonesian โ€” you'll hear "sama-sama" a dozen times a day in Bali. It's also the name of the Sama-Bajau, the sea nomads who've lived on and under these waters for centuries.

That's the whole idea. Diving was never meant to be done alone โ€” SamaDive just helps you find your people.

Landing in Amed?

Your buddies are already here.

Free for divers, always. We're launching in Amed & Tulamben first โ€” the app drops on iPhone and Android soon.
