The short version We collect the minimum needed to help you find dive buddies. We never sell your data. There are no ads and no third-party trackers. You can delete your account and data at any time.

Who we are

SamaDive ("we", "us") is a community app that helps divers find dive buddies. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions: hello@samadive.com.

What we collect

Your profile: the name, certification level, dive count, home country, bio and interests you choose to enter.
Your area: the dive town you select (e.g. "Amed"). We do not track your device GPS location.
Content you create: dive plans you post or join, chat messages, buddy vouches, dives you log, and a profile photo if you choose to add one.
Your profile photo (optional): if you add one, it's visible to other signed-in divers on your profile and the Board — that's how buddies recognise each other. You can change or remove it anytime.
A basic account identifier: when you start using the app you're given an anonymous account so your profile and chats persist. No email or password is required to begin.

We do not collect payment information (the app is free for divers), and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

Only to run the app: showing you divers and dive plans nearby, letting you chat and buddy up, and keeping your profile available on your devices. That's it.

Who can see it

Your profile (name, cert, dive count, bio, interests, area) is visible to other signed-in divers — that's the point of the Board. Your chat messages are visible only to you and the person you're chatting with. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Where it's stored

Data is stored securely with our backend provider (Supabase, on managed cloud infrastructure). Access is protected by row-level security so people can only edit their own data.

Your choices

Edit or remove your profile details at any time in the app.
Request full deletion of your account and data by emailing hello@samadive.com — we'll action it promptly.
Report or block another diver from within the app.

Children

SamaDive is not intended for anyone under 16. Diving certifications and buddy diving are adult activities; please don't use the app if you're under 16.

Changes

If we update this policy we'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
